Ken Ogger made a fascinating stab at showing how the human affinity scale fit into the CDEI goal decay scale. It looks very much to me like it starts in the lower Thought band (as affinity) and on the subject of goals. Notice that each of the approaches (to an affinity goal) of Curious, Desire, Enforce, and Inhibit are showed to decay down to the equivalent of death, followed by the adoption of the next approach. This looks very much like a flow zero GPM pattern, with the "approaches" of C, D, E and I being the equivalent of terminals. Notice that there is no oppterm. He didn't continue the scale below Inhibit, but I'm sure it could be filled in. Here is his entire speculative piece, lifted from Super Scio #10C:
